Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 20 FINALE

Well, well, well we finally made it! After countless theory’s, text messages, deaths and non-deaths we have come full circle. There are so many areas to cover so I think I will structure this into two sections 1. Story line/plot and 2. The characters and I’ll finish off with my overall view on the series.

1. Story line

It was not what I wanted. Firstly I don’t even think this season was relevant to the previous. It really felt like ‘oh they renewed us for another season, let’s think up some extra stuff’ I think they should’ve finished with Charlotte being A and then have a finale episode that wrapped up each liars life like they did but maybe with a 5 years later for extra closure instead of adding a pointless season. Also on that point of the first seasons. We were thrown through so many holes (and I understand that’s the point of the show) but the story line they went with…Charlotte being A annoyed me. I dislike when shows like this make the ‘bad person’ someone who was in 5-10 episodes of an 100 episode show. It’s not enough to guess who it is. A show should be written in a way that if you’ve paid close enough attention in each episode you will figure it out. But if Charlotte or CeCe was only in a handful of episodes a season how are you supposed to work it out. As oppose to this last season where we slowly noticed Spencer seemed to be in two places at once and pretty much convinced ourselves with that run in with Ezra at the airport. I always thought the main A would be a prominent character, I would have preferred it to be Mona and been fewer seasons because she had motive that we saw in many episodes if not all and she was a main character.

I have read other people’s comments on the story and they aren’t happy either. I don’t think you can ever please everyone. Even though I wasn’t happy with the choice of A and A.D (to be honest I didn’t mind the A.D. part I just felt it unnecessary) I respect the writing and understand that there are so many routes to take and choosing the correct one is almost impossible.

2. The Characters

Ok so let me get a start on the character stories and how they ended.

Aria, this was the one I was most confused about. Yes, we all expected Aria and Ezra to have a happy ending, even though he used her in the beginning for his book BUT you know Aria forgave him and we did too, we could see some genuine feelings there. What I didn’t like was the initial wedding dress…oh and the whole ‘I can’t have babies’ situation. The wedding dress thing was just bizarre I don’t know why they didn’t get a nicer looking dress and then make reference to it being one of Hanna’s designs, even if she doesn’t do wedding dresses, she could do a one off for her best friend.
The not being able to have children bit of the story confused me. I don’t remember anywhere in all the seasons of PLL Aria and Ezra ever having a conversation about having kids and how important it was to them. The way Aria reacted, being scared to tell Ezra – thinking the wedding was over, that he wouldn’t want to marry her now. I would only understand that if it had been a constant in the series, that the one thing they always talked about was having kids, but I have no memory of it at all. The only nod to this that I can remember is when Ezra’s son with another woman comes to stay for a few episodes, but that was so early on and almost forgotten about. So I don’t understand why it was made such a big part of the final episode, but I liked how the series started with Ezra and Aria together and finished with them getting married, it was a nice full circle.

Next on my list, Emily and Alison, I can kind of combine these two seeing as the show finished with them getting engaged. Emily was always the one who was most affected by Alison’s death, then her disappearance then her life. Even through her fair share of girlfriends she could never let Ali go and even though Ali would play it up for Emily, when they were younger, I think deep down she always had that same feeling too. I think the biggest part of this Emily character in this last season was being torn between Paige and Alison, when Paige decided to leave Rosewood and visit Alison before she left that is what ignited Emily and Alison. So even though I didn’t really like the character of Paige – she was a bit wishy washy for me – that was a nice way to reconcile things between the three.
I have to give props to the writers for Alison’s character, there aren’t many shows or movies where you end up loving the bully. She was really bad in the first seasons, albeit in flashbacks, she was every schools worst enemy she bullied the different and even torment the 4 girls who loved her, yet we end up feeling sorry for her because of an even bigger bully? But then we find out the bigger bully is the one being bullied (Mona), but then someone even bigger takes over (CeCe/Charlotte/Charles) but we can’t be mad at them either because they were out casted and hidden from family, it’s a weird concept! Somehow in a show full of bullies you don’t end up hating any of them because either they turn a corner OR they have been deserted and you can kind of see why they would do it. You don’t think it’s right, but can you blame them? (I mean personally the whole killing, and death threats, blackmailing and kidnapping stuff is wrong and I don’t forgive those characters BUT because this is a TV show it’s easier to forget them).
I am glad that Alison’s character changed with maturity and near death experiences and that she now has a family with Emily. Of course twins had to feature in this show and just when you thought once was enough (Mary Drake and Jessica DiLaurentis) Alison gave birth to twins! And then the big reveal of Spencer’s twin – Alex. I wonder if having twins is really that common in families that have twins in their blood. It seems like PLL took it to another extreme.

Talking about Spencer, let’s cover her happily (n)ever after. This was the most open ending of all the characters in my eyes. We didn’t really get to see Spencer and Toby’s happy ending, I expected to see them driving off into the sunset in that old-ish car. What we got was nothing, there wasn’t any mention of Spencer’s feelings towards her twin sister or her birth mother. Especially after spending this whole season wanting to know Mary Drake, I thought she would definitely want to know more about them and their story. They were ‘taken away’ and Spencer never tried looking for them, apparently no one else did either because Mona was the one who ended up taking them? This was another confusing ending which I only understood after reading some recaps on the episode, because no I was not paying attention to the cop who came and captured Alex in the fake underground replica house, I was watching about 20 other things that were happening in that scene. However, if you were watching one cops face the whole time you would’ve noticed he was the same guy that Mona was with in Paris. So essentially you have to put the dots together yourself and discover that she used this guy’s help to capture Alex and Mary Drake and keep them in her basement in France?! Umm okay, did no one follow up the arrest of Alex and Mary with Rosewood Police? Did the police woman never realise that Mary Drake disappeared from the prison and was never found? Honestly, did I get amnesia and forget this, or did they tie this end up with a loose knot that could come undone with a gust of wind? And what about Melissa, and their parents? Did she just never tell them she had a twin sister, oh right must of just slipped her mind. Really easy to do.

Lastly for the main 5 girls, Hanna – she can’t give up on Mona even after the shoplifting, that time when Mona as ‘A’ nearly killed Hanna, all the ups and downs in their friendship she sticks by her. I think this is the friendship that should be highlighted the most. Yes all the liars stayed by each other’s side through thick and thin but Hanna’s friendship with Mona was never seen as ‘ethical’ (for lack of a better word). Mona was the nerdy character who didn’t have friends, whilst Hanna was part of the ‘cool’ group. Hanna had one foot on each side essentially, and even after all those years she still cares and has been able to break down those barriers at least a little. This was one of my favourite friendships throughout the entire show and would like to think their characters would still keep in touch. On the other side of this story you have Caleb, I am so glad this ended well for them. Their relationship was so fun to watch because of the on and off screen connection they have. I loved early on in the show when Hanna hid Caleb in her house and had to jump into the shower with him, I was upset when he left for Ravenswood and glad when he came back, thrilled when they got married and overjoyed when Hanna told the girls she was pregnant. Haleb has been my favourite ‘ship’ of this show.

A few quick things that I liked. The conversation about ‘basement’ incident in this final episode was a hilarious way to bring the fans into it but annoyingly still not tell us what happened! The use of the word limerence was appreciated by me. Alison asking Mrs. Fields for her mothers ring to propose to Emily. The reoccurrence of a new ‘it’ group with Addison, because it shows it’s a big problem in schools and no matter how many generations there are the same things happen. The replicated ending with this said group which made it feel more like a Goosebumps novel, almost like Rosewood is a haunted town where history repeats itself over and over….

My final thoughts, some say this was left open for a spin off but I really hope it is left where it is now, it didn’t have the best ending but it felt complete. Really it felt complete before this last season. I can’t help but wonder if Alex’s character had been the first A, and then Charlotte ended up being A.D if it would’ve worked out better. I know certain things would’ve had to be changed but it would have been more entertaining if Alex was taking Spencer’s place in more situations from the start. Then both Spencer and Alex learnt about Charlotte as she tried to get revenge on the both of them, or just on Spencer and her friends. I liked the characters and the mysteries, I disagree with people saying they made the detective look shady, they looked Mike (Aria’s brother) look guilty too and this person, and this… that’s the point of shows like this – to throw red herrings. They only look guilty if you’ve made them a suspect. To me I never thought the detective had a part in any A or A.D. drama so she never looked shady to me, she was simply doing her job. But I agree that there were not enough opportunities to figure out Charlotte being A, they did better with Alex and I was happy they finished with that positive.

Overall, I enjoyed the ride but wouldn’t line up in a 2 hour line to go on it again. I would definitely watch other series’ the PLL cast are a part of because they engaged me in their roles, I followed them on social media and loved finding out about their personal lives. So if there’s a winner in any of this, it’s the cast, I look forward to seeing them in more stuff over the years and thinking ‘remember when they were a liar’.

Let me know your final thoughts on this episode, or overall thoughts on the entire series! I’ll be interested to hear them.

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 19

Okay I’m so confused with who is going to end up being A.D. it’s not funny. This isn’t even going to be a long post because I’m done guessing. I have two more opinions and I’ll leave it there.

A.D. was driving into the sunset in the last scene, Spencer told Mona that they called Dr. Sullivan and that she’d be on her way. Please don’t tell me a professional adult has something to do with this. Truly that would be a new low.

Secondly, Mary Drake handing herself in for the girls. (In what world would ‘suspects’ be able to watch someone confess to murder. And don’t those mirror screens work the other way? The cops watch the suspects on the line? Or does it work both ways?) Anyway, Mary ‘confessed’ and when asked about an accomplice suggested that it was an unknowing Spencer. What if Spencer wasn’t unknowing and she’s in on it?

I really don’t know and am really looking forward to having this revealed. The best thing about this episode was “to whom?” Great line between Spencer and Caleb. But the episode was just what I expected … clear the girls’ names and they’re free. Or are they?, I guess we’ll find out.

Let me know any last theories you have before everything is revealed!

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 18

I keep forgetting to preface my posts with a little *spoiler* notification, I am discussing the episode so I’m sure most of you would assume I would have spoilers but this is just another prompt in case you haven’t seen the episode. Abort now!

This episode was mainly about truth and closing wounds. Each respective relationship was brought closer together and some were reconnected. So everything’s coming together. Or is it? There will definitely still be a few more twists so I’m not going to confirm A.D. is Mona yet BUT! There’s a very high chance. Let’s talk!

Let’s begin with Emily and Alison. They are very much a pair now and settling in for parenthood. I take back the possible miscarriage of the baby I thought would happen and return back to my earlier theory of them living together and raising a wonderful family. Who knows maybe they’ll do a spin off called ‘The Fosters’ (just joking, but the storyline feels like they could head in a similar way as that show does). Nothing too exciting happened for these two this episode except bracing for the worst, jail.

Next, Spencer she reconnected with Toby today, I think we all thought this would be the case, especially after Yvonne died. That other detective guy is out and the lady detective is back (I’m bad with their names). Honestly I think that lady has nothing to do with A.D. and she’s just back because she’s considered a good detective. Spencer looks like she’s on the brink of heading to jail, after evidence was found in her shower drain (more on that soon) along with Hanna for the most part of this episode but there’s still time for things to change.

Hanna and Caleb get married in this episode and I couldn’t be happier. The writers did a great job with these characters and Ashley and Tyler have such a strong and playful friendship that it’s so easy to believe. Hanna’s mum knows the truth now and she’ll help her out as much as possible, but will it be enough?
Now, here’s something interesting, in one of the scenes Hanna asks all the girls to promise no matter what happens they’ll understand the decisions made. Some cryptic statement like that, and at first I thought she was going to turn herself in so all the other girls could avoid jail, but she didn’t. So why did she say that in such a guilty-esq manner she whispered “i swear”. I think it’s because she’s part of A.D.s duo, and she wants to make sure that the girls will ‘understand’ why she’s done it. I’ll come back to this as well.

Aria finally got found out, and outed by Mona like I thought she would in my post last week (I say ‘like I thought’ but really I’ve had every thought under the sun so eventually one of them is going to be right, right?) So Aria is revealed as a traitor and found completely innocent of the crime, killing Rollins thanks to a little help from A.D. But then it seems she changes her mind at the last minute and races to be with the girls and we find out Rollins’ body is in the boot of her car and the cops are about to pull her over! Talk about plot twist. I’m sure the cops will pull her over and say something like, “oh your back lights are out, get them fixed quick smart” and that will be it. I don’t know if she’ll have enough time to get to the girls though.

Now, to the bits I was saving! Remember the first Let’s Talk! I did on a Pretty Little Liars episode, it was the first one back from the break, well I mentioned a theory I had, of who A.D. was or are! Seeing as we’re close to finishing the series I’m going to choose one theory and stick with it, that is Mona and Hanna are A.D. So my first clue was the tattoos the girls got outside of the show to commemorate their characters. These two were the only one’s whose letters were capitalised so that stuck out straight away. Then in this episode Hanna asked the girls to make a promise, like I mentioned above. Evidence was found in Spencer’s shower drain, and what evidence was that…glass from a windshield, a car windshield which Mona mentioned she was responsible for fixing and therefore had free access to broken fragments to plant later when needed. And the car in question was Lucas’s, but who was given the car to use…Hanna. Another thing, when Hanna showed Mona the board game she was full of praise and analysing it completely, she is the only one who could create something like that. She found out about the recording in Spencer’s house either because she was there too, or Hanna brought it up in conversation, so she could build up a case against Aria. Mona always happens to be in the right place at the right time – the school! At the end of the episode we see Mona looking at the board game again but this time she puts on her glasses, a nod to the old her, the geeky her which got teased and bullied. Something that Hanna also went through. I also notice that Alison and Hanna aren’t really that close I don’t feel their characters hang out that much, so maybe that’s a hint too. Two more quick things the final episode is called ‘Til DeAth Do Us PArt’ – a marriage link, who just got married, Hanna did. And in the previous episode Mona was focus of that whole dance/dream number. I’m excited to find more clues.

Tell me your theories and we can discuss them together! Only two more episodes to go.

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 17

Did anyone else think this episode was an ad for boom boxes? I’ve never seen so much use of Bluetooth in such an abrupt way. Just me? Okay. And what about that little impromptu Jailhouse Rock dance sequence by Mona. Aria’s starting to have nightmares about what she’s doing. Well let’s get to the discussion.

Aria is getting really annoying now. She’s is so obviously acting different to every one around her yet they can’t tell? Surely Spencer would  have put two and two together to figure out Aria planted the phone. I thought it would be Spencer who picks up on Aria’s dodgy dealings but now I’m thinking it’ll be Mona – she did catch her in the brew with the letter in her hand. Well Ezra picked up on something but he was wrong. He thought it had something to do with their past, when he used her and the girls to write his book…. Um that was so long ago, she would not have gotten back together with you let alone agreed to marry you if she had the slightest question about that. I found it odd that it was brought up again after so many seasons.

Spencer seems to have resolved things with Mary Drake and that might be the end of that storyline. But her other family, well that will always go on. I think the Hastings are definitely the family most affected my drama. She continues to play with fire and semi-blackmailing the Detective I don’t think it’s going to end well for her. Just keep quite and carry on Spencer don’t bring any unnecessary attention to yourself.

Emily had a break from Alison this week, apparently she’s gone to visit Jason? Odd if you ask me. If we weren’t 4 episodes out from the series finale I’d say Sasha just needed the day off so they wrote her out of the script but visiting Jason, he has a lot to do with the story still I feel. So stay tuned for Jason in the last episodes…maybe.

Hanna oh how I wish to be Hanna, well not exactly be her just to have Caleb. Caleb proposed in the most no frills way possible and it was everything. I just love these two together on screen and their friendship off screen too. Thankfully the only drama for Hanna this episode was not knowing where the shovels went. But we the audience ended up finding out.

That end though. Is Mona A.D.? My gut says no. I think all that stuff in her apartment is her helping the girls. She created an area of investigation and is dotting all the ‘i’s’ and crossing all the ‘t’s’ because she’s a part of this too.
On the other hand I wouldn’t mind if she ended up being A.D. because I think it’ll be better than being a character that appeared in 3 or 4 episodes. Which is how I think this show will end. Another reason why she might be the real A.D. is the ‘PLL’ episodes always finish with something about A.D. and that was the last scene in this episode. So maybe she is.

We’ve only got 3 more episodes to go! Let me know your theories and ideas I’d really love to hear them.

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 16

Interesting episode I actually thought we would make some big revelation but of course it wasn’t what it seemed. I tend to talk about the episode through the main 5 girls and their story line for the week, which I think works pretty well so here we go again!

Emily and Alison, will they lose the baby? That’s my big question at the end of the episode. Alison did fall in the school hallway so it’s possible. So will it impact on their newly recognised relationship will #Emison be a thing even if they lose the baby? My guess is yes, Emily has always been their for Alison and whilst Ali tries to push her away I think she’s finally ready to be with Emily regardless of the situation.

Hanna, she’s got to be my favourite character of the 5 main girls. She’s so quick and witty but sensitive too. If it wasn’t for Caleb I’d love to see her with Lucas, but you know no one can beat Caleb (in my eyes). I wondered how they were going to find the receipt in 10 minutes and then saw that they didn’t and they went to ‘plan z’. Really Caleb? Could you make it any more suspicious. I found it interesting that Hanna was so quick to defend Lucas at every point, I almost feel like she thinks she owes him for messing with him (back when ‘A’ made her play the game). But I don’t know if Lucas is as innocent as he makes out, there’s a strong connection to Charles and then Charlotte while he may not have known about the change there was still communication between them. He claims it was just emails out of annoyance but maybe it was on purpose?

Spencer, using blackmail to get her out of sticky situations seems to be her new tactic. Taking that USB was actually quite smart for herself and the group. Again it created a red herring in Lucas who of course was not A.D. (or at least that’s what we’re led to believe for now). We’ll probably only find out 10mins from the last ever episode who A.D. really is. But also when Spencer and Aria turn up to Alison’s house after the ‘rampage’ Spencer finds Aria’s earring on the ground. She’s definitely suspicious now. And I think Spencer will either confront Aria on the next episode or Aria will go to Spencer to tell her and then eventually the other girls too.

Aria, I definitely think she will stop helping A.D. before the finale. That last scene of her crying on the couch is telling me she wants out, and it’ll be the next episode where it all comes out. The Aria and Ezra relationship is getting strange to me, maybe because I’ve been watching a few theory videos on YouTube that put Ezra as the author and Aria as the character of his book. They seem distant and unconnected and I don’t think it was just the Nicole story. Keeping my eye on this one. Also, why was Aria wearing a jacket that had her name on it? Anyone?

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 15

After a two week break we are thrown right back into the deep end, especially with Aria’s situation. Yep she has decided to help A.D. Meanwhile Emily and Alison have a big decision on their hands. Hanna enlists the help of Mona, and Spencer has become prime suspect of the Detective. So let’s get talking about it all!

Aria ‘Facetiming’ with A.D. was strange. I was trying to figure out if the person we were watching was a mixture of Aria and A.D. or if it was just all Aria but in a distorted way. Either way something about the face on the phone and the tone of voice instantly reminded me of Paige. Also one if those phone scenes transitioned to a scene where the camera was focused on Paige so maybe that’s a clue? Oh then Aria delivered the comic book to a locker in the school – locker 214? Paige is a teacher at the school. I’m not even going to get to the Ezra situation but I hope that Nicole story is done.

Meanwhile, Emily and Alison confirm that the baby is Emily’s but not Dunhills. They eventually agree to keep the baby (knew they would, the series will probably end with a 5 years later and we’ll see Emily and Alison together with their child). But then I brought back the whole idea of Paige being A.D. Why would Paige try to bring Emily and Alison closer together with a baby! Then I thought maybe she did it to test them, she didn’t think Alison would keep the baby and it would end up tearing them apart. But that final scene when Paige enters Alison’s house was creppy as hell! Apparently Paige is leaving Rosewood but will it be forever?

Hanna asks Mona for help because she is desperate to get out of this whole situation. The way Mona reacts to the board makes me think she created it. Some of the things she said or phrased were saying she could have made it. In my opinion anyway.

Finally, Spencer has become awfully shady. After being questioned in an isolated house by the Detective guy (I’ve forgotten his name…). Mary Drake says she will stop contacting Spencer because she assumed she called the cops there. And then! Spencer is randomly in the airport with Wren? I don’t know if that’s in an effort to get rid of the paper trail so to speak. So unlike Spencer to leave a trail but I guess that’s what happens when you’re blinded by love and alcohol, mistakes are easy. OR! Did anyone else notice the different clothes she was wearing, no big coat and she had a bag? Was it actually Spencer or a twin!? There goes another twin theory.

Then there’s Lucas, is he a part of this whole A thing. I don’t know. I don’t want him to be but time will tell I guess.

Well that’s pretty much my take on this episode. I feel like we’re closing in on A.D., well obviously because the series is ending but there’s still enough mystery to be had. Like Aria’s file, will it be released?

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 14

So many open ends in this episode, I guess all episodes are like that but I really felt it in this one.

So let’s start small and work our way up the biggest story lines of the episode. I think Hanna and Spencer we’re probably the smaller parts of this week’s episode. Hanna’s almost step-father (Pastor Ted) is brought back into the picture randomly and eventually confesses that Mary Drake had been at his house. We then find out that he is the father to Charlotte – used to be Charles who Pastor Ted looked after at a camp of some sorts. Of course he happens to have one photo with this kid he didn’t know was his child and another kid (Charles’ main friend) who just so happens to be Lucas? Like Hanna’s Lucas. Ok I said we’d start off small but this is quite big. It got me thinking how on Earth did Lucas become such a rich guy all within 5 years? Did he help Charlotte get revenge on Alison and the girls because of the bullying? Is he A.D.? Because A.D. seems to be very powerful and have unlimited resources and to me that screams two names Lucas and/or Mona.

Spencer’s storyline this week was more about Mary Drake and the fact that she wanted revenge etc. etc. I didn’t find anything too exciting about her plot this week to be honest.

It was Alison’s turn to get a puzzle piece and let’s just say it was traumatic. After deciding to not have the baby A.D. makes it a whole lot harder for her to decide when she finds out that she is a surrogate for Emily’s eggs. Meanwhile Emily’s kissing Paige and Alison is way over her head in drama. I think this is leading towards Paige moving away and Emily and Alison being together and possibly bringing up the child.

Last but not least we have sneaky little Aria. How dare she isolate herself from A.D.s games. We’re all in this together is not just a great song from the High School Musical franchise it’s something all friendship groups should live by. I’m a little annoyed at her character after this episode. Also we think we find out who A.D is when Aria gets into a car and we see Sydney but we soon find out she’s just a pawn of A.D.s. It would be a little too convenient and early I mean we still have about 5 episodes left? Aria is quickly climbing my ladder of people I suspect to be A.D. and it’s primarily because of the points I listed in my post last week and this video I found on YouTube which has some great theories. One of which is Aria’s ankles in a promo poster are chained with handcuffs and another being a doctor recognising Aria at Radley when she really had no reason to be recognised. Definitely give it a watch,  honestly I think all theories are possible until the last episode.

No episode next week, but I will be back with more in two weeks!

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars Season 7 Episode 13

The main part of this episode was probably Hanna’s turn to roll the dice as she put it. Her task to get her piece was to wear a dress to a meeting with Japanese investors that they would most likely find offensive. It started out with a creepy doll and telling Caleb about the board game. Duh! Caleb is like the 6th liar, he is always aware of what’s going on so it was only a matter of time really. I’m glad he’s there to help the girls but he should really stop messing with the board because that toxic spray was not nice at all.

Spencer’s love life was the center of her story this episode. She’s getting closer with Detective Marco just as Toby gets married to Yvonne and then loses her. A plot I assumed would happen. I think eventually Toby will end up with Spencer, I don’t see the Detective and Spencer thing working out so there’s only Toby to fill that gap. And Spaleb will never happen again, it should have never happened in the first place (can you tell I’m a Haleb fan?)

Aria and Emily went on a little excursion this episode going after Sydney. A character I don’t even remember too much about. I know she was Jenna’s little side kick but how many episodes was she in, is she really that important to the story? There were two parts in this episode that made me a little suspect on Aria. The first was when Caleb asked Aria what Sydney’s surname was (is this really vital in any way) and Aria responded with “Driscoll…I think, something like that”. The next was how she so quickly adapted to learning how to hack a phone through WiFi. I started thinking that maybe Aria and Driscoll are working together and they are A.D. but then again maybe not.

That second last scene of Nicole inside Aria’s place was kind of creepy and i definitely think it’s Aria’s turn to roll the dice next week.

Also another theory that came to mind in this episode was Caleb and Mona being A.D. When Sydney is talking to Emily she mentions how she delivered a drink and note to the two whilst the girls were getting hunted down by Noel Khan at the mid season break. We all know they’re the most high tech of the characters so maybe they worked together to start the game.

One last theory. At the start of the episode when the phone is making crying noises and all the girls meet up at Spencer’s, they talk about Alison for a little and Hanna brings up the question of Alison changing her surname back. This would make her initials A.D. again.

So there’s a few things to think of, let me know if you picked up on anything else this episode!

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 12

So much annoyance in this episode, firstly this new character Addison. Really she just happens to have the initials A.D. (Emily says her full name in one of the locker room scenes it’s De-something a rather). Like no you can’t bring in a new character and make it seem like it’s her. I desperately hope she is just a red herring but I feel there’s going to be more back story for her. For example she’s going to be revealed as Dr. Elliott Rollins/Archer Dunhill daughter or maybe Mary Drakes daughter. I don’t like when story lines introduce too many characters and when strenuous links are created. All the characters that I just mentioned only became present in the last season, that’s not good enough for me. A.D. and anyone else involved in all of this has to be someone who has been their from the start, it has to be one of the primary characters.

The puzzle pieces from the ‘jumanji’ board game as Emily eloquently referred to it as was again featured in this episode. I also noticed when Emily put her piece in that there were possibly 8 pieces in total that could fit into the space? So Spencer and Emily have each gotten theirs. Aria, Hanna and Alison will undoubtedly get there’s in the next episodes, that takes it to 5 pieces, who are the final 3 pieces for? Maybe Mona, Caleb and Paige? So many assumptions here. Who do you think the other 3 pieces could be for?

Aria and Holden thing continues in this episode but I really don’t think anything of it. It’s just a side story to have Aria involved in the story which had to be created because Ezra is by Nicole’s bedside now.

Hanna’s dress drama was present in this episode, possibly setting her up to be the next person to get a puzzle piece. The biggest WTH was when Jenna comes in wearing a dress which was originally designed by Hanna, improved by her old boss and now available in different colours? This has A.D. written all over it. Expect Hanna’s roll of the dice next week to find out who gave Jenna the dress. Hey seeing as we’re bringing in old characters maybe they’ll bring back Hanna’s step-sister (whose name escapes me) and we find out this wasn’t an A.D. situation but an on-going family feud.

Jenna’s back with a story to cover herself in the whole Noel Khan death and Spencer shooting. She’s brought some new also visually impaired friends.I don’t quite understand Jenna’s story in all this, I don’t know whether she’s lying about her story that she had to go along with Noel and say things he wanted to hear or if she was with him. Somehow I don’t think Jenna is involved in the present situation.

Let’s Talk! Pretty Little Liars: Season 7 Episode 11

So we’re finally going to find out what’s been happening in Rosewood. The last 10 episodes started yesterday and I’m going to discuss each one, each week. I’ll talk about everything from theories to clothes and conclusions to questions. So let’s start with this episode.

Ok let’s discuss the new Spencer twist, so she’s the daughter of Mary Drake and Mr. Hastings, just like CeCe? That’s the part I’m unsure about. Was CeCe’s father Mr. Hastings. And if so then that makes Spencer and CeCe siblings. It then also makes them half sisters to Jason and Alison’s cousin? Wow that’s a complicated family tree. I’m glad we found that out in the first episode back but now where is Mary Drake. And was she behind the second gun pointing at Spencer – the one that shot her?

The End Game board game weird contraption and super hi tech thing made me think Mona straight away. We know she and Caleb are the tech savvy characters of the show (I refuse to believe Caleb is evil because he’s my fav on the show so I’ll discount him here haha). There’s so much involved with the game – the use of the phone almost like an app connected to the board, didn’t Mona talk about making apps and code in previous seasons/episodes?

I’m not too fused about the Ezra and Aria storyline at the moment. I don’t think Ezra will cancel the wedding I think he just needs closure and to help Nicole in her recovery. And Holden coming back into the story I think he’s a red herring to throw us into thinking he’s involved with A.D. but he was such a minor character that I’d be annoyed if he was anything more than a familiar face.

To the ending of the episode and as usual they leave us with great questions for next week like where is Jenna? Who’s helping her (Mary Drake maybe?) Why did we turn a blind eye to Noel’s decapitation?  (they refereed to it in the episode as “Noel’s dead”) Will Yvonne wake up from her coma? (All you Spoby fans are probably hoping no).

Just a quick side note. I think Hanna and Mona might be A.D. Recently we saw pictures of the actresses getting matching tattoos on their ‘shushing’ finger and in the photo I saw I noticed something. Now it might just be personal preference BUT Ashley Benson and Janel Parrish (Hanna and Mona) got a ‘H’ and an ‘M’ respectively. Now all the other girls got their characters initial also except they were lowercase. Only the H of Hanna and M of Mona were capitalised (to be fair the ‘s’ for Spencer was a little difficult to distinguish between upper and lower case. But yeah that’s my small theory based on the tattoos they’ve got.

Let me know if you’re excited for the final season, if you agree with what I’ve said, or have any weird and wacky theories – I really live reading fan ideas and comparing them to what actually happens. Sometime the fans create better endings to be honest.
